Community Outreach Group Donates to Local Charities
25 novembre 2019
The Lancer Community Outreach Group (COG)donated funds raised by employees, and matched by the Lancer Leadership Team, to San Antonio Pets Alive and The Children’s Shelter. The COG, lead by Marcus Buscemi, is an internal group of employees who work year round to raise funds to donate to local charities. The charities are selected by the group as having an impactful and meaningful mission to the San Antonio community. This year, the employees voted on two great organizations to assist.San Antonio Pets Alive works to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter, or foster. This organization uses all available resources and volunteers to save as many pets in our community from being euthanized and for their efforts, the COG wanted to be a small part in helping them fulfill their mission.
The Children’s Shelter provides safe haven for child survivors of abuse, neglect, and abandonment in San Antonio and Bexar County. The organization provides an array services such as: emergency shelter, therapeutic foster care, parenting skills, and a mental health clinic. The work they do for families in the community are invaluable and worthy of praise.
